Set against the iconic red rock backdrop of Garden of the Gods Resort and Club, Gigi and Michael’s wedding was a vibrant, design-forward celebration filled with personality, color, and unforgettable details. From a private ceremony overlooking Kissing Camels to a highly stylized reception bursting with florals, this wedding was the perfect blend of playful energy and refined elegance.
Designed for a couple who fully embraced creativity, every moment of the day felt intentional, immersive, and completely unique.
The Design Vision
Gigi and Michael’s vision centered around bold color, layered texture, and elevated design moments. The palette featured an artful mix of lavender, yellow, coral, orange, blush, pink, peach, light blue, and fresh greens—creating a look that was both vibrant and cohesive.
Bridesmaids wore a curated mix of patterned dresses in varying silhouettes, adding to the playful, fashion-forward aesthetic. This sense of individuality carried throughout the entire event design, allowing each floral moment to feel distinct while still contributing to the overall experience.
A Private Ceremony with Iconic Colorado Views
The ceremony took place at a private residence in Colorado Springs, overlooking the iconic Kissing Camels. The setting offered a naturally breathtaking backdrop, where soft, garden-style florals added movement, color, and romance while complementing the surrounding landscape.
A Grand Reception at Garden of the Gods Resort and Club
Following the ceremony, guests were welcomed into the reception with an immersive, design-forward entrance installation. A custom-built entryway draped in lush smilax vines and wax flower created a magical transition into the celebration space, softly illuminated by candlelight.
Inside, the design unfolded into a series of layered, high-impact moments.
Cocktail Hour Details
Cocktail hour featured a collection of small-scale floral arrangements, each uniquely styled in bamboo-wrapped and cane-wrapped vessels. These textural elements added warmth and dimension while tying seamlessly into the overall design.
Each arrangement was paired with curated candlelight from our décor collection, including:
Bamboo-wrapped votives
Frosted pleated glass votives
Lamps surrounded by delicate floral nests
The combination created a soft, glowing ambiance that invited guests to relax and explore the space.
Statement Floral Moments
One of the most striking features of the reception was the custom bar installation, anchored by an oversized floral arrangement overflowing with the same vibrant blooms seen throughout the day.
Another unforgettable design element featured the architectural posts within the space. These were wrapped in flowing smilax vines, with wicker baskets placed above and filled with abundant, cascading florals. The effect was lush, unexpected, and completely immersive—transforming the structure into a living part of the design.
Floral & Design Details
This wedding showcased one of our most extensive and colorful floral palettes to date. Designs included a rich mix of:
Ranunculus and butterfly ranunculus
Garden roses and spray roses
Dahlias and hydrangeas
Lisianthus and snapdragons
Daisies for a playful, textural touch
These blooms were paired with layered greenery, including smilax, Italian ruscus, and pittosporum, creating arrangements that felt full, dynamic, and organic.
From intimate centerpieces to large-scale installations, every floral element was thoughtfully designed to contribute to a cohesive yet highly varied visual experience.
