Elegant Camp Hale Wedding in Vail, Colorado
There are some weddings that feel beautiful—and then there are the ones that feel completely unforgettable. Cara & Jack’s Camp Hale wedding was exactly that: a timeless, all-white celebration set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Colorado mountains, made even more meaningful by a little rain and a lot of heart.
Set just outside of Vail, Colorado at the historic Camp Hale Memorial Site, their day blended refined elegance with the natural beauty of the Rockies, creating a wedding experience that was both elevated and deeply personal.
A Romantic Mountain Ceremony on the Water
One of the most unique features of this Camp Hale wedding is its ceremony island, nestled in the middle of a peaceful mountain pond and surrounded by open meadow and sweeping alpine views.
Cara & Jack chose to exchange vows in this truly one-of-a-kind setting, framed by two custom-designed floral pillars. Each installation stood nearly eight feet tall and was designed with an abundant composition of roses, garden roses, ranunculus, lisianthus, and delicate touches of baby’s breath. Lush greenery, including smilax, gunni eucalyptus, Italian ruscus, and bay created movement and softness, allowing the florals to feel organically connected to the surrounding landscape.

A Rainy Wedding Day That Turned Magical
In true Colorado fashion, the weather had its own plans.
A downpour rolled in during setup, requiring our team to thoughtfully pause and restart the floral installation multiple times to protect the integrity of each piece. Despite the challenges, we remained committed to bringing Cara’s vision to life, carefully assembling each floral pillar in the rain to ensure the ceremony design was nothing short of breathtaking.
As the ceremony began, a soft mist lingered in the air. Guests were greeted with clear umbrellas, and while the unexpected weather initially brought a moment of uncertainty, it quickly became one of the most memorable and romantic elements of the entire day.
With the mountains wrapped in clouds and the soft patter of rain surrounding them, Cara & Jack said “I do” in a setting that felt intimate, cinematic, and entirely their own.
Thoughtful Details & Personal Touches
Cara & Jack’s wedding was filled with meaningful details that made the celebration feel incredibly personal.
One standout moment was their escort card display; each champagne glass was topped with a custom escort card, thoughtfully created by one of the couple’s closest friends. This interactive and celebratory detail not only guided guests to their seats but also created a beautiful and memorable experience as the evening began.
As the night continued, guests enjoyed an energetic and joyful atmosphere with DJ entertainment, celebrating under the glow of candlelight and cascading greenery.
An Elegant White & Greenery Reception Under the Tent
Following the ceremony, guests transitioned to a beautifully designed outdoor tented reception that embodied classic elegance.
Round guest tables were dressed in crisp white linens and styled with a mix of lanterns and glowing candlelight rented from our Decor Collections, all nestled within beds of lush greenery. The overall effect was soft, romantic, and timeless, perfectly complementing the natural surroundings of Camp Hale.
Above, one of the most striking design elements transformed the space: custom floral chandeliers created by our team. Each chandelier was fully wrapped in flowing smilax vine and adorned with clusters of crisp white blooms and babies breath, adding dimension, movement, and an unmistakable sense of luxury to the tented environment.
