Romantic Garden-Inspired Wedding with Elevated Summer Florals
Set against the iconic red rock backdrop of Arrowhead Golf Course, Abby and Colin’s wedding was a stunning blend of romantic garden style and elevated summer elegance. Designed to complement the natural landscape, their palette of soft whites, blush pinks, taupe, and rich chocolate and burgundy tones created a beautifully layered look that felt both timeless and uniquely Colorado.
As a Colorado wedding florist, our goal was to enhance, not compete with, the surrounding scenery, allowing the dramatic red rocks to remain the focal point while weaving in thoughtful floral moments throughout the day.
Ceremony Design with a Natural Red Rock Backdrop
The couple exchanged vows on the outdoor lawn, framed by sweeping views of Arrowhead’s signature red rock formations. To preserve the beauty of the setting, we designed a ceremony that felt intentional yet understated.
Guests were welcomed by a pair of floral arrangements at the back of the aisle, creating a soft, romantic entrance moment. At the altar, a delicate floral “nest” grounded the space without obstructing the view—an organic design filled with roses, dahlias, butterfly ranunculus, cosmos, chocolate cosmos, and lisianthus, accented with gunni eucalyptus, ruscus, and mini pittosporum.
Following the ceremony, all floral pieces were thoughtfully repurposed into the reception space, maximizing both impact and investment.
Organic Personal Flowers with Rich, Textural Accents
Abby’s bouquet was designed in a lush, organic style—an elegant composition of layered blooms with soft movement and subtle depth. Pops of chocolate-toned florals added a rich, unexpected contrast against the lighter palette, creating a bouquet that felt both classic and refined.
Bridesmaids carried coordinating arrangements that echoed the same garden-inspired aesthetic, while the groom wore a custom pocket square boutonniere, a modern and elevated alternative that tied seamlessly into the overall floral design.
Statement Floral Moments & Custom Details
One of our favorite design elements was the custom welcome sign, a fabric-draped sign suspended from a copper frame and adorned with lush floral accents. This piece set the tone for the event, blending softness with structure in a way that felt both modern and romantic.
At the bar, abundant floral arrangements were designed to cascade over the edges, creating a natural, overflowing effect that added richness and depth to the reception space.
Tented Reception with Hanging Floral Installations
Following the ceremony, guests were invited into a beautifully styled outdoor tent for an unforgettable reception experience. Long reception tables created a warm, communal feel, perfectly suited to the couple’s romantic garden vision.
Above, greenery-adorned chandeliers added dimension and visual interest, drawing the eye upward and transforming the tent into an immersive floral environment.
Tables were styled with ikebana-inspired centerpieces, thoughtfully arranged in small ceramic vessels. These low, organic designs allowed each bloom—cosmos, ranunculus, roses, and textural greenery—to shine individually while still feeling cohesive across the tablescape.
Layered with pleated glass votive candles, soft white linens, and beautifully patterned napkins, the overall effect was intimate, elevated, and full of movement.
