What To Do the Week of Your Wedding Day

After all of the excitement of bringing your wedding day vision to life, you are down to the last week before your wedding! You may experience a lot of feelings the week before your wedding, and we are here to help you navigate through them! This final week before your wedding, all of your big wedding planning tasks will be finalized, now you just have to pull together the remaining small details. Let’s just say, it’s the final countdown!

Wedding Decor

After months of planning, it is time to pack up your wedding decor. All of your hard work is coming together beautifully. It’s time to pass off the baton! What will be helpful to your wedding planner will have an organization system and labeling system for your wedding decor. This will also help ensure that you aren’t missing anything crucial! Our recommendation is to put like items together. For example, ceremony decor in one box and reception decor in a separate box! Or you could even do it by reception table if you have a lot of decor items that you are bringing along for your wedding day. Having these items organized and labeled for your wedding planner will provide a smooth set up, that way your wedding planner won’t have to bug you while they are trying to dig through your decor boxes!

Packing

There is a lot of packing that goes into a wedding day! You’ll need to get yourself packed up and ready to go for the night before your wedding, the morning of your wedding day, and the night of your wedding day! Whatever your plan is, there is a lot that you need to consider here! Sleeping attire for the night prior to your wedding day & the night of, clothes to get ready in, any toiletries or hair tools for the morning of, extra clothes in case you need to change if an emergency happens, the proper shoes, any gifts you may have for your bridesmaids or Mama bear… etc. Give yourself plenty of time to gather all of these items so that you aren’t scrounging around the night before!

Honeymoon Final Preparations

Giving yourself enough time to organize yourself for what you’ll need for your honeymoon will cause you less stress right before your wedding day. Is the transportation booked? Is your hotel ready for your check-in? When do you have to check in for your flight? What will the weather be like so you can pack accordingly? Thinking of these things the week prior to your wedding will eliminate any unnecessary stress you may have.

The Night Before

The night before your wedding day is your chance to do one final check of everything you may possibly need for your wedding day. After this… it’s time to relax! Whether that is enjoying a glass of your favorite wine with your bridesmaids or taking a nice long relaxing bath to prepare yourself for the biggest day of your life, this relaxation is a necessary part of your wedding day!
